Study Computer Science & IT in Russia

Russian universities do not conduct entrance examination for admission to Computer Science and IT courses in its universities and colleges. The admission is based entirely upon first come first serve basis and of course on your academic score. All you need is qualify to apply at the individual universities and an official invite to study in their college/ university.

You may also need to give Russian language proficiency test, which is mandatory for a year. However, for IT related courses in English, knowing the Russian language may not be mandatory. It is best to find out from the university you are planning to apply to.


How to apply to a college offering Computer Science & IT in Russia

The minimum eligibility criteria to apply at Russian universities include:

  • Education level equivalent to the secondary education in Russia
  • Students majoring in specific courses should have a minimum score of 80%
  • Gap between graduation/ technical college and admission to a Russian university/ college should not exceed 3 years
  • For a Bachelor’s degree in Russia, maximum age to apply is preferred is 27 years
  • For a Master’s degree in Russia, maximum age to apply is preferred is 35 years
  • Medical examination to be clear
